On February 7, we marked a milestone at The Bridge at Saugatuck, though you wouldn’t have guessed it simply by the energy pulsing from our new covered patio. There were a few special Aquarius birthday’s celebrated, and the evening unfolded into something larger: a reveal of what’s next for the experiences to come, under one roof. For the first time, guests gathered beneath our newly enclosed patio structure, built by The O’Dell Group, warm, elegant, and open to the evening air, no matter the season.

The evening’s theme, Après Ski, 1980s-style, was a nod to nostalgia, but the message was unmistakably forward-looking. Our once open-air side patio has been transformed into an all-season extension of the restaurant, offering a versatile space for everything from private events to spontaneous weeknight dinners. And now, weather is no longer part of the equation.

Designed for Every Forecast and Every Occasion

Whether it’s a rainy April lunch, a crisp October dinner, or a winter cocktail hour tucked under soft lighting and river views, this new space adapts. With thoughtful design and subtle climate control, the enclosed patio allows The Bridge to welcome guests outdoors, even when the forecast doesn’t. We’re doing more than just adding seats, we’re gaining flexibility. Fluidity. The ability to say yes, to a private brunch, a corporate dinner, an anniversary toast, without worrying about wind, temperature, or an afternoon storm.

A Foundation for the Seasons Ahead

The Après Ski event, with its ice luge, live music by MOJO, and spirited nods to vintage mountain style, was both celebration and send-off. It launched the space with intention, joy, and a clear signal: this is a venue where atmosphere matters as much as the menu, where memories are designed to unfold across all four seasons.

Chef Stephen Lewandowski’s culinary vision, seasonal, elegant, rooted in market-fresh ingredients, will extend naturally into this new room, giving guests more ways to engage with The Bridge experiences. Brunch will expand. Evenings will linger longer. Events will feel more personal. And as spring approaches, this patio will evolve again, river breezes, longer light, and soon, a seamless connection to our Dock & Dine program on the water.
